First Dye Job, So So

Here it is, my first dyed yarn! The original plain yarn is next to it (duh) I'm sure that didn't need explaining.

Because I was trying it out for the first time, I didn't want to mess around mixing colours, I just wanted to dye some yarn! So I chose pink & blue and I hated it!!! (see below) So I chucked it all in again with just the rose pink dye and the blue turned into yummy purple and the pink more hotter baby! Now what to do with one skein of dyed yarn? I was thinking a mini entrelec neck warmer type scarf perhaps? I'm dyeing (haha) to try that technique out.

ooh la la, very nice. you seem to be making a lot of neck warmers, how did the silk one turn out??

i'd probably do some arm warmers with it, but that's just the way i roll. what's the meterage/weight on the yarn?

um, yeah, meterage.. hehe don't know that one.. could be around 180m??? just a rough guess though, but, a-ha! (lights just came on) weighing it should give me an answer right, coz I still have the other half of the hank (well it's more than half) and the whole hank is 435mts..yes, do some maths girl (brain: but it hurts!)

remember it may have shrunk as you dyed it... you'll still be able to work it out but it's a bit tricker. will research it and explain if necessary. :) x
