Welcome Baby Patrick!!!

Michelle's latest FO, baby Patrick, came into the world at 2pm, Tuesday December 4, weighing a healthy 9lbs 3oz (how many skeins of wool is that equivalent to?!).

Mother and baby are both well, and expect to be home today. We should be getting some photos soon which I will post here as soon as I can.

CONGRATULATIONS MICHELLE AND BRIAN!!

Sorry for the delay in posting, as you all know the internet here is a bit hit and miss, and I couldn't log into blogger. D'oh!

Congratulations! Welcome earthside Patrick!!!!

About 4.1kg I think? So if he was yarn there'd be enough for 41 pairs of socks? That can't be right - sounds huge! My maths is pretty rubbish.

All power to Michelle I say :-)

41 pairs of socks? Jeez, that does sound like a lot, doesn't it?

Perhaps we could just say "around seven jumpers"? (figuring an average jumper at 12x50g balls of wool)... and even that sounds like a lot!

yes, 4.1k. we had a glitch in the coming home though, and are just home now. It seems that Patrick caught an infection and had to be on oxygen for a few days. I was there to feed him and cuddle him and change him until he was better. I'm happy to say that the elfin booties (or grinch feet) fit Patrick very well, and i did have a bit of time between massive feeding duties and nappy duties to knit a bit more on the matching hat. There was massive appreciation of the baby blanket by the midwives and other mums. I proudly displayed it on the cot since it was
too hot for him to be wrapped in it. We are sooooo happy to be home and I will post pics as soon as possible.

41 pairs of socks! I had better get hopping!

Michelle (happy happy happy to be home with all my boys)
