Finished booties and new knitting basket

Yes, I finished the booties. A poor picture but you get the idea, working on the matching hat now.
Today I picked up this gorgeous knitting basket from the Midland Farmer's Market. Made in Ghana, it is called a Bolga Basket and is handweaved out of hand dried, twisted and dyed Elephant grass. It takes 3 days to complete a basket. The group that is selling these is called Azasou and claims to pay fair price for these baskets. You have to hope that the villagers get the majority of the money. I love it.
