so, about spotlight and lion brand

do they have thick'n'quick, or regular wool ease?

does anyone know? i don't really fancy tripping all the way to freo to find out

They only have the homespun, sock yarn and thick n quick chenille - so basically not the 'good' stuff heheh

the brochure has 'colour waves' as well, which I think is homespun in stripes.

I think the magic stripes sock yarn is pretty good.

ah boo. i want to make a Twinkle cardy, and am having trouble with the substitution.
i found some stuff at xways that was a sub gauge-wise, but for the same price or possibly less (depending on shipping) i can get the recommended, pure merino yarn. the sub i found was half acryclic :/

Jazz got the twinkle yarn from eBay and it seems okay but she is not thrilled with it, especially for the price. I'd look into subbing it...

lupinbunny - check out Nundle Mills on the web. They have 20ply at a really good price. Am thinking of using it to sub for twinkle.
