i don't normally go for stuffed toys, but these kitties are very cute. very tempting. the pattern feels a bit steeply priced, so i'm holding off for now (look, $5US is a lot when you just paid for your textbooks. argh!)
but would anyone be interested in a bit of a knitalong at some point? they'd be good for using up yarn scraps. maybe even some of the 'interesting' yarn you kool-aid dyed (not that anyone had 'interesting' yarn, really. but lets be honest, i am never going to wear coral, pink and mauve variegated yarn).

yes, i saw those and wanted them. however, i am a cheapskate and decided that i could make my own pattern.
it also made me think i should sell the pattern for my monster (erm... the non-crap monster). hey, i'm sure SOMEONE would buy it! suckers.
also, just because you won'r wear the variegated yarn, doesn't mean you can't make a lovely gift with it. or over-dye it, if it's that bad. which i don't think it was.
jeez, that comment looks a bit mean-spirited, doesn't it? i don't mean it like that! they are beautiful kitties and i really do think the pattern would be worthwhile, except that if I have $5 to spend, it's going on woolly goodness... or a really nice cardigan pattern to join the collection.
(maybe we could split the pattern costs... *whispers because she knows its not quite kosher, but people share knitting magazines all the time so why not this pattern*)
i figured i could make something similar, but i liked the proprotions, etc of these kitties and it would save me having to experiment and whatnot.
i suppose one sale is better than two "nah, don't wanna pay that much"-es. Hmm... still, we're evil. EVIL, i tells ya.
itty bitty wooly kitties.
me like.
